Principal Social Consultant

RINA is seeking a highly experienced Principal Social Consultant to join its ESG & Sustainability Division in Brighton.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead comprehensive social impact assessments to evaluate project effects on communities, cultures, and stakeholders.
  • Develop robust social management plans emphasizing social inclusion, community participation, and sustainable practices.
  • Collaborate with communities, local authorities, NGOs, and stakeholders to build trust and address social concerns.
  • Provide expert guidance and strategic advice to clients on navigating complex environmental and social requirements.
  • Support proposal preparation and client liaison, driving the development of project proposals and cultivating client relationships.
  • Provide strategic direction in project management tasks, collaborating closely with project managers to monitor budgets, schedules, and deliverables.
Requirements:
  • At least 15 years' work experience, with prior 10+ years consulting experience.
  • In-depth understanding of international standards, regulations, and best practices related to social impact assessments, stakeholder engagement, and sustainable development.
  • Knowledge of international standards such as IFC Performance Standards, Equator Principles, and UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights.
