About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Psychologist to join our team at South West London and St George's Mental Health NHS Trust. As a Senior Clinical Psychologist, you will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of evidence-based psychological therapies for children and young people with eating disorders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and implementation of evidence-based psychological therapies for children and young people with eating disorders.
  • Provide highly specialist psychological assessments and interventions for children and young people with eating disorders.
  • Develop and maintain a high-quality, responsive, and accessible service for children and young people with eating disorders.
  • Exercise delegated responsibility for managing the psychological resources available to teams.
  • Contribute to the development, evaluation, and monitoring of the team's operational policies and services.
  • Participate in staff recruitment, including shortlisting and interview panels.
Person Specification

We are looking for a Clinical Psychologist with:

  • Post-graduate doctoral level training in clinical psychology.
  • Registration with the Health Professionals Council as a Clinical or Counselling Psychologist.
  • Evidence of continuing professional development.
  • Formal training in supervision of trainee applied psychologists.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience

We would welcome applications from Clinical Psychologists with:

  • Post-doctoral/graduate training in one or more additional specialised areas of psychological practice with children and young people.
  • Experience of working with children and young people with eating disorders.
  • Experience of representing psychology within the context of multi-disciplinary care.
  • Experience of assessing and treating children and young people with mental health needs across the full range of care settings.
