Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Psychologist to join our Neuropsychology Team at The Wellington Hospital, a leading private hospital in the UK. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing specialist tertiary level Psychology services to inpatients and outpatients, while also contributing to the development and implementation of our neuropsychology service.

About the Role

As a Principal Psychologist, you will work closely with our Neurologist and neuropsychiatrist to provide comprehensive assessments, diagnoses, and treatment plans for patients with complex neurological conditions, including traumatic brain injury, stroke, and spinal cord injury. You will also be responsible for leading and mentoring a team of psychologists, ensuring exceptional standards of care and contributing to the development of our neuropsychology service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide specialist tertiary level Psychology services to inpatients and outpatients, including assessments, diagnoses, and treatment plans.
  • Work closely with our Neurologist and neuropsychiatrist to develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans.
  • Lead and mentor a team of psychologists, ensuring exceptional standards of care and contributing to the development of our neuropsychology service.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of our neuropsychology service, including the development of policies and procedures.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to the development of treatment plans.

Requirements

  • Post-graduate qualification in Clinical Psychology, Neuropsychology, or equivalent.
  • Experience of working within an inpatient neuro-rehabilitation, community, or outpatient neuropsychology setting.
