About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Control Systems Engineer to join our team at EVEREC, a leading company in the restoration of iconic cars and their conversion into electric vehicles. As a key member of our engineering team, you will play a crucial role in the development and implementation of control systems for low-voltage (LV) and high-voltage (HV) electric powertrains.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop model-based software using Simulink to optimize control systems for electric vehicles.
  • Implement and optimize testing frameworks, including Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) and Model-in-the-Loop (MIL) testing to ensure control systems meet performance and reliability standards.
  • Utilize first principles to address and resolve complex engineering challenges related to control systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to integrate control systems into electric powertrains and automotive chassis.
  • Perform hands-on testing and troubleshooting to ensure control systems meet performance and reliability standards.
  • Translate complex engineering issues into straightforward, effective solutions that meet the needs of our clients.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Control Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in the automotive sector, with a focus on electric vehicle control systems.
  • Proven experience in the development and testing of control systems for electric vehicles, including ECU calibration and CAN Bus tools.
  • Familiarity with software version control and comprehensive documentation practices.
  • Good understanding of mechanical systems and their interaction with control systems.
