Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Category Manager to join our Central Procurement team at Royal Holloway University of London. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading the development of procurement plans and strategies for key areas of non-pay expenditure, maximizing value for money, and delivering sustainable, efficient, and effective practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement procurement plans and strategies to achieve value for money and improved services for our students.
  • Manage complex procurement projects, including business cases, options appraisals, tender documentation, tender evaluation, and contract award processes.
  • Build and maintain relationships with senior stakeholders, including suppliers and internal teams.
  • Stay up-to-date with procurement best practices, regulations, and industry trends.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in procurement and category management, with a strong understanding of procurement best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with senior stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage complex procurement projects.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to work.
