About the Role

We are seeking a qualified or soon to be qualified Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner to join our Prison IAPT Service team at HMP Chelmsford. As a key member of our team, you will work with adults on an individual face-to-face basis or through facilitating therapeutic groups, providing assessment and low-intensity interventions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide assessment and low-intensity interventions, including guided self-help, CBT, and group work, to support individuals in their recovery.
  • Undertake patient-centred interviews to identify areas for change and assess risk to self and others.
  • Assess and support prisoners with common mental health problems in the self-management of their recovery.
  • Maintain quality standards in the delivery of the service.

Requirements

  • A qualified or soon to be qualified Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner.
  • Experience of undertaking CBT assessments and delivering CBT and low-intensity interventions, including group and one-to-one work.
  • Experience of working with individuals with mental health difficulties and those in primary care.
