Role Overview

The successful applicant will play a crucial role in registering and processing insurance claims related to customers' General Liability, motor, and property policies. This position requires collaboration with policyholders, brokers, colleagues, and other professionals to validate claims effectively. Responsibilities include managing client communications and ensuring that all new claims are processed promptly.

Key Responsibilities

Key duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Overseeing the OICP and MOJ portal for the team, ensuring all new claims are allocated and that handlers are informed of any submitted medical evidence.
  • Managing client inboxes for new claims and related correspondence.
  • Coordinating with adjusters and clients on claims that require attention beyond the TPA team.
  • Registering injury claims with CACHE for the team.
  • Assisting the team with payment processing as necessary.
  • Managing diaries and assisting with scheduling for claims handled by adjusters.
  • Facilitating pre-fixing post in the system.
  • Utilizing our IT system, designed to enhance your efficiency, to track outstanding tasks and manage your workload effectively.
  • Having access to relevant mailboxes and communication tools to address emails and inquiries.
Candidate Profile - Knowledge and Experience
  • Prior experience in a claims environment is essential.
  • Familiarity with the workings of the MOJ and OCIP portals, including key dates.
  • A foundational understanding of claims management and the lifecycle of a claim file.
  • Experience liaising with adjusters, clients, and solicitors as needed.
  • Strong verbal communication skills, including active listening and effective phone etiquette.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time efficiently, and multitask.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Outlook, and Excel.
  • A basic understanding of the legal framework surrounding claims.
