Job Title: Manager - Data Protection - Lawyer

About the Role:

KPMG UK is seeking a highly skilled Manager - Data Protection - Lawyer to join our Commercial Legal team. As a key member of our Data Protection team, you will play a crucial role in providing expert advice to clients on data protection laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist clients in developing data protection strategies and advising on compliance with data protection laws.
  • Support clients with data protection elements of their transformation programs, including group restructuring, outsourcing, and large-scale technology programs.
  • Advise on data ethics and provide guidance on data protection policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • At least 4 years of PQE as a data protection/commercial lawyer with experience in advising on compliance with data protection laws.
  • Experience in advising clients on complex data protection compliance issues, including reporting on GDPR/DPA compliance, drafting information notices, and assessing joint controller status.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with clients and internal stakeholders.
