About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Protection Lawyer to join our team at SSQ, an International Technology, Media, and Marketing Company. As a key member of our legal team, you will play a critical role in tackling complex data protection issues arising from cutting-edge uses of data.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with key business areas to provide legal and strategic data protection and privacy advice.
  • Advise on ways to minimize privacy risks for the company and its clients.
  • Act as an escalation point for other team members on challenging data protection and privacy matters.
  • Collaborate effectively with teams across the company, including the global data protection office and regional and local legal teams.
  • Monitor and respond to developments in data protection and information security, including new laws, regulations, key judgments, and regulatory guidance.
  • Advise on and negotiate data protection issues within commercial contracts.
Requirements
  • 4+ years of post-qualification experience as a Data Protection Lawyer.
  • Strong understanding of data protection laws and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
