About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Protection Lawyer to join our Commercial Legal team at KPMG UK. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the growth of our Data Protection practice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist clients in developing data protection strategies and advising on compliance with data protection laws.
  • Support clients with data protection elements of their transformation programs, including group restructuring, outsourcing, and large-scale technology projects.
  • Advise on data ethics and provide expert guidance on complex data protection compliance issues.
Requirements
  • Minimum 4 years of PQE as a data protection/commercial lawyer with experience in advising on compliance with data protection laws.
  • Proven track record of advising clients on complex data protection compliance issues, including reporting on GDPR/DPA compliance, drafting information notices, and assessing joint controller status.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to deliver robust and appropriate legal advice.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
