Training Planning Advisor

Position Overview

Contract Type: Permanent

Compensation: Competitive

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am - 5:30pm

Location: Headquarters

Role Summary

The Training Planning Advisor is responsible for overseeing the creation of pilot and cabin crew schedules, ensuring compliance with industry standards, fatigue management protocols, regulatory requirements, and organizational policies. This role focuses on optimizing training assignments for pilots and cabin crew while maintaining high levels of crew satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

As a Training Planning Advisor, your duties will include:

  • Pre-assigning ground, simulator, and line training, as well as flying duties for approximately 6,000 crew members.
  • Utilizing specialized crew management tools and optimization software to adjust planning parameters for optimal outcomes.
  • Demonstrating flexibility and responsiveness to changes in flight schedules and other variables.
  • Supporting performance analytics and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Acting as a liaison for crew members, addressing inquiries and providing clarifications.
  • Participating in user acceptance testing (UAT) for system updates and customizations.

Candidate Profile

We are looking for a skilled professional with a background in crew management within the aviation sector. The ideal candidate will possess:

  • GCSE (or equivalent) qualifications in Mathematics and English; further qualifications in analytics are advantageous.
  • Strong analytical, planning, and problem-solving abilities, with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of training requirements and qualification processes for flight and cabin crew.
  • Familiarity with roster regulations and their application.
  • Experience with crew planning and optimization systems, such as Jeppesen and AIMS.
  • Understanding of CAA/FTL regulations and fatigue risk management principles.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Knowledge of crew resource management processes, including pairings and leave planning.
