Role Summary
The Training Planning Advisor is responsible for overseeing the development of pilot and cabin crew schedules, ensuring compliance with industry standards, fatigue management protocols, regulatory requirements, and organizational policies. This role focuses on optimizing training assignments for pilots and cabin crew while ensuring effective workload distribution and enhancing crew satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
As a Training Planning Advisor, your duties will include:
- Pre-assigning ground, simulator, and line training, as well as flying duties for approximately 6,000 crew members.
- Utilizing specialized tools for crew management and optimization to set planning parameters that yield the best results.
- Adapting plans based on changes in assumptions, such as flight schedule adjustments, while adhering to strict industrial and regulatory timelines.
- Providing performance reports, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement, and serving as a point of contact for crew inquiries.
- Participating in system testing and supporting new releases and customizations.
Candidate Profile
We are looking for a professional with a background in crew management within the airline sector, possessing strong attention to detail and comprehensive knowledge of crew systems and processes. Ideal candidates will meet the following criteria:
- GCSE (or equivalent) qualifications in Mathematics and English; additional qualifications in Mathematics or analytics are preferred.
- Strong analytical, planning, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities.
- Familiarity with training requirements for flight and cabin crew, including sequencing and qualifications.
- Knowledge of roster regulations and their implementation.
- Experience with crew planning and optimization systems such as Jeppesen and AIMS.
- Understanding of CAA/FTL regulations and Fatigue Risk Management principles as they apply to roster planning.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Knowledge of Crew Resources and Crew Logistics processes, including pairings and leave planning.
