Role Summary
The Training Planning Advisor is responsible for orchestrating the scheduling of pilots and cabin crew, ensuring adherence to industry standards, regulatory requirements, and organizational policies. This role emphasizes the optimization of training assignments while maintaining high levels of crew satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
In this position, you will manage the pre-assignment of various training activities, including ground, simulator, and line training, along with the allocation of flying duties to a large team of pilots and cabin crew.
Your expertise in crew management tools and analytical skills will be essential in adjusting planning parameters to achieve the best possible outcomes.
Flexibility and responsiveness are crucial, as you will need to adapt plans based on changing circumstances, ensuring compliance with strict deadlines.
Additionally, you will be involved in performance reporting, identifying opportunities for process improvement, and serving as a point of contact for crew inquiries.
You will also participate in system testing and support the implementation of new features and customizations.
Candidate Profile
We are looking for a professional with a background in crew management within the aviation sector, possessing a keen attention to detail and a solid understanding of crew scheduling systems. The ideal candidate will meet the following criteria:
- GCSE (or equivalent) qualifications in Mathematics and English; further qualifications in Mathematics or analytics are advantageous.
- Strong analytical, planning, and problem-solving abilities.
- Familiarity with training requirements for flight and cabin crew, including qualification processes.
- Knowledge of roster regulations and their applications.
- Experience with crew planning and optimization systems such as Jeppesen and AIMS.
- Understanding of CAA/FTL regulations and Fatigue Risk Management principles.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Knowledge of Crew Resources and Logistics processes.
