Role Summary
The Training Planning Advisor is responsible for overseeing the creation of pilot and cabin crew schedules, ensuring compliance with industry standards, fatigue management protocols, regulatory requirements, and organizational policies. This role focuses on optimizing training assignments for pilots and cabin crew while ensuring effective workload distribution and enhancing crew satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
As a Training Planning Advisor, your duties will include:
- Pre-assigning ground, simulator, and line training, as well as flying duties for approximately 6,000 pilots and cabin crew members.
- Utilizing advanced crew management tools (such as Jeppesen and AIMS) to analyze and adjust planning parameters for optimal scheduling outcomes.
- Demonstrating flexibility and quick thinking to adapt plans based on changing circumstances, such as flight schedule updates.
- Supporting performance analysis, leading initiatives for continuous improvement, and serving as a point of contact for crew inquiries.
- Participating in system testing (UAT) for new releases and customizations.
Candidate Profile
We are looking for a professional with a background in crew management within the airline sector, possessing strong attention to detail and a comprehensive understanding of crew systems and processes. Ideal candidates will meet the following criteria:
- GCSE (or equivalent) qualifications in Mathematics and English; further qualifications in Mathematics or analytics are advantageous.
- Strong analytical, planning, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of flight crew and cabin crew training requirements, sequencing, and qualifications.
- Familiarity with roster regulations and their application.
- Experience with Jeppesen and AIMS or similar crew planning systems.
- Understanding of CAA/FTL regulations and Fatigue Risk Management principles.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Knowledge of Crew Resources and Crew Logistics processes, including pairings and leave planning.
