Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Mental Health Practitioner to join our CAMHS Community Eating Disorder Service. As a member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing specialist psychological assessment and interventions to young people and their families.

Main Duties

Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments and developing treatment plans for children and adolescents with eating disorders
  • Providing evidence-based psychotherapeutic interventions, including CBT and motivational interviewing
  • Liaising with external services and multi-agency teams to ensure effective risk assessment and management
  • Maintaining accurate records and contributing to the development of clinical outcome measures

Person Specification

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Nursing or social work qualification, with experience in child and adolescent mental health services
  • Knowledge of mental health issues in young people, including eating disorders
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team
