Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Mental Health Practitioner to join our CAMHS Community Eating Disorder Service. As a member of our team, you will contribute to the specialist provision of psychological assessment and interventions for young people and families.

Main Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and develop evidence-based treatment plans for children, young people, and families.
  • Hold a caseload and work collaboratively with nurses, family-based practitioners, and dieticians to provide high-quality care.
  • Liaise with external services to ensure effective risk assessment and management of eating disorders.
  • Maintain a balance of face-to-face client therapy and indirect contacts to optimize clinical skills and knowledge.

Person Specification
  • Nursing or social work qualification with NMC registration.
  • Experience in child and adolescent mental health services, particularly with eating disorders.
  • Professional involvement with users of mental health services, including children and young people.
  • Ability to manage a caseload effectively and work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
