About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Dietetic Support Worker to join our team at Barts Health NHS Trust. As a Dietetic Support Worker, you will provide support to both the Adult and Paediatric Dietetic teams in a clinical capacity, including inpatient and outpatient work, and with administrative duties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical support to the Adult and Paediatric Dietetic teams, including working on a computer, at ward level with patients, staff and families, and telephone work.
  • Assist with administrative duties, including data entry and record-keeping.
  • Work collaboratively with the team to provide excellent patient care and support.
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the provision of an excellent service, ensuring that patients receive high-quality care and support.
Requirements
  • Qualification or equivalent experience in a relevant field, such as healthcare or nutrition.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, staff and families.
  • Ability to maintain accurate and legible records, and to write simple reports and produce written resources.
  • Experience of working in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, and to develop and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Interest in nutrition and awareness of the role of the dietitian.
