Job Summary

As a Process Control Technician at Thames Water, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our water treatment processes. This is a challenging and rewarding position that requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and control water treatment processes using SCADA systems, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Identify and troubleshoot process issues, taking corrective action to prevent downtime and maintain water quality.
  • Conduct regular water quality sampling and testing to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with other departments, including Water Quality, Maintenance, and Strategic Control, to resolve issues and improve process efficiency.
  • Develop and maintain technical knowledge and skills, staying up-to-date with changes in procedures and asset standards.

Requirements

  • Hands-on and practical experience with SCADA systems and water treatment processes.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic literacy, numeracy, and computer skills.
  • Desirable: LTO and driving license.
