Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Process Control Technician to join our team at Thames Water. As a Process Control Technician, you will be responsible for monitoring and controlling water treatment processes via SCADA, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and control water treatment processes via SCADA, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Perform fault finding and intervention to maintain the treatment process or customer supply.
  • Respond to emergencies, such as process failures or power failures, and follow established procedures to escalate and stabilize the process.
  • Conduct water quality sampling and testing as required by regulatory standards.
  • Complete necessary documentation, including shift logs, to ensure operational standards are met.
  • Take responsibility for your own Health and Safety and Health and Safety on site.
  • Liaise with other departments to find solutions for issues, deliver the best results for the site, and ensure PRO values are met.
  • Maintain your own technical knowledge and training, keeping up to date with changes in procedures and asset standards.
Requirements
  • Hands-on and practical experience with impeccable attention to detail and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work a 12-hour rotating shift and be available to cover shifts as required by the TW shift agreement.
  • Basic literacy, numeracy, and computer skills, with the ability to use email and operate plant computers/SCADA equipment.
  • LTO desirable, but not essential.
  • A driving licence is desirable but not essential.
