About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Customer Assistant. As a key member of our store team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a clean and organized store environment, and working collaboratively with colleagues to achieve sales and customer satisfaction goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service, answering questions, and resolving customer complaints in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Store Maintenance: Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including restocking shelves, sweeping and mopping floors, and ensuring that all areas of the store are tidy and well-presented.
  • Merchandising: Expertly merchandise and maintain our middle aisles of Non-Food products, ensuring that products are displayed attractively and are easily accessible to customers.
  • Bakery Operations: Proactively keep the bakery topped up by baking fresh goods, ensuring that customers have access to a wide range of fresh products.
  • Delivery and Stock Management: Efficiently work deliveries as they arrive in store, ensuring that stock is accurately received and stored, and that all stock is properly rotated and maintained.
Requirements
  • Customer Service Skills: Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to provide a high level of service to customers in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility: Flexibility to start a shift early or finish late, as required by the business.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve sales and customer satisfaction goals.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with customers, colleagues, and management.
