Position Overview

Role: Project Manager

Contract Duration: 12 months plus

Our client, a prominent Tier 1 contractor, is seeking a skilled Project Manager with a background in the water sector. This role offers the flexibility of hybrid work arrangements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Recruit and oversee a team of MEICA engineers to facilitate project execution.
  • Manage the overall Programme of works, coordinating effectively with both clients and subcontractors.
  • Assist in the design review processes and participate in client meetings, with the Engineering Manager leading these discussions.
  • Develop and validate the Scope of Works for each Mechanical and Electrical package, supporting the tendering process through to contract award.
  • Collaborate with the Commercial Manager on project financial reporting.
  • Ensure timely project delivery while adhering to Health and Safety regulations.
  • Oversee the project budget in conjunction with the Commercial team, ensuring financial compliance.
  • Engage in stakeholder management, including interactions with Senior Management and clients.
  • Supervise all on-site teams, including Site Supervisors, Operational Teams, and Sub-contractors.
  • Ensure project alignment with client expectations, particularly in relation to public interface considerations.
Qualifications and Skills

Candidates should possess:

  • Relevant qualifications such as Management qualifications, NVQ L3, HNC, or a Degree.
  • Strong knowledge and experience with management systems and processes relevant to similar industries.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills, with a proven ability to lead and manage technical teams in a competitive environment.
  • Capability to interface with clients effectively and manage project delivery across technical and business dimensions.
  • Adeptness in establishing project requirements and driving teams to achieve quality, cost, and schedule objectives.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and web-based project management tools.
  • Preferably, a TWUL Safety Passport.
