About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Commercial Manager to join our client, a leading technology and software business dedicated to enhancing public services through technology.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and support the commercial aspects of a new large contract with a public sector customer.
  • Work closely with the Commercial Director to develop and implement commercial strategies.
  • Oversee the management of IT services, service reform, transition & transformation programs, and continuous service improvement.
  • Support the development and smooth running of governance arrangements.
  • Identify and mitigate risks regarding service penalties.
  • Track obligations and handle any disputes.
  • Secure opportunities for new services and margin improvement.

About You

You will be an experienced professional with a proven track record in financial and commercial management of large customer-facing contracts, either in the IT space or wider technology.

Requirements

  • Minimum 4 years' experience in contract management of in-life service-based contracts.
  • Ability to obtain security clearance.
  • Experience with public sector customer-facing contracts.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to identify risks and opportunities and mitigations.
  • A background or understanding of project management would be an advantage.
