Adult Neurophysiology Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Neurophysiologist to join our team at London North West University Healthcare NHS Trust. As a key member of our Neurophysiology Department, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality neurophysiology services to our patients.
Main Responsibilities- Conducting Neurophysiology Clinics: You will be responsible for conducting adult and paediatric EMG clinics, providing outpatient services, and offering ad-hoc support for inpatients as required.
- Supporting Carpal Tunnel Clinics: You will support physiologist-led carpal tunnel clinics, including providing training and guidance to ensure effective service delivery.
- Reporting on EEG Examinations: You will report on EEG examinations for both adult and paediatric patients, ensuring accurate interpretation and timely reporting of findings.
- Collaborating with Consultants: You will collaborate with consultants and clinical physiologists to maintain high standards of care and service delivery within the Neurophysiology Department.
- Developing Neurophysiology Services: You will contribute to the development and expansion of neurophysiology services, including participating in service improvement initiatives and introducing new procedures or protocols as appropriate.
- Continuous Professional Development: You will engage in continuous professional development activities, including attending relevant training courses, conferences, and seminars to enhance your knowledge and skills in neurophysiology.
- Mentorship and Support: You will provide mentorship and support to junior staff members, fostering a culture of learning and development within the department.
- Qualifications: MBBS or equivalent, MRCP (UK) or On the Specialist Register in Neurophysiology (or within 3 months of date of interview)
- Knowledge and Expertise: Wide range of experience - including paediatrics and adult, Adult EMG expertise
- Training: Higher Specialist Training in Neurophysiology
- Teaching: Previous experience of training and education of undergraduates and postgraduates
- Management: Leadership skills, Ability to organise and prioritise workload effectively
