About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Neurophysiology Specialist to join our team at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust. As a key member of our Neurophysiology Department, you will be responsible for providing high-quality clinical neurophysiology investigations for adults and pediatric patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive neurophysiology investigations, including EMG, NCS, EEG, and EP studies.
  • Contribute to the day-to-day running and management of the department, ensuring efficient and effective service delivery.
  • Provide clinical supervision to clinical physiologists, including trainees, to ensure high standards of care.
  • Enhance the research profile of the department by contributing to research projects and publications.
  • Participate in strategy and business planning to drive departmental growth and improvement.
  • Demonstrate leadership and team-working skills to promote a positive and collaborative work environment.
Requirements
  • On the GMC Specialist Register or within six months of being admitted to the register by the date of the interviews.
  • Appropriate Royal College Membership.
  • Specialist training in Clinical Neurophysiology.
  • CCST achieved or within six months of interview date.
  • Experience of EMG, NCS, EEG, Ambulatory EEG, Home VTEL, and EP studies in pediatric and adult patients.
  • Able to take responsibility, show leadership, make decisions, and exert appropriate authority.
  • Proven skills in leading, motivating, developing, and managing the performance of colleagues.
  • Knowledge of finance and budgets.
  • Management of staff.
  • Experience of teaching and training undergraduates, postgraduates, and junior medical staff.
  • Understanding of principles of clinical audit.
  • Evidence of achievement appropriate to appointment at consultant level at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust.
  • Able to speak and write English to the appropriate standard necessary to fulfill the job requirements.
