Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Neurophysiology Specialist to join our team at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust. As a key member of our Neurophysiology Department, you will be responsible for providing high-quality clinical neurophysiology investigations for adults and pediatric patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive neurophysiology investigations, including EMG, NCS, EEG, and EP
  • Contribute to the day-to-day running and management of the department
  • Provide clinical supervision to clinical physiologists, including trainees
  • Enhance the research profile of the department
  • Contribute to effective clinical governance
  • Participate in strategy and business planning
  • Demonstrate leadership and team-working skills

Requirements
  • On GMC's Specialist Register or within six months of being admitted to the register by the date of the interviews
  • Appropriate Royal College Membership
  • Specialist training in Clinical Neurophysiology
  • CCST achieved or within 6 months of interview date
  • Experience of EMG, NCS, EEG, Ambulatory EEG, Home VTEL, EP - Paediatric and adult patients
  • Able to take responsibility, show leadership, make decisions, exert appropriate authority
  • Have proven skills in leading, motivating, developing and managing the performance of colleagues
  • Knowledge of finance/budgets
  • Management of staff
  • Experience of teaching and training undergraduates/postgraduates and junior medical staff
  • Understanding of principles of clinical audit
  • Evidence of achievement appropriate to appointment at consultant level at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust
  • Able to speak and write English to the appropriate standard necessary to fulfil the job requirements
