Position Overview

We are offering a unique opportunity to deliver a thorough Clinical Neurophysiological investigative service to patients across various age groups and specialties, addressing a broad spectrum of medical conditions, including those with neurological and psychiatric components.

Key Responsibilities

- Deliver a highly specialized Clinical Neurophysiology service to patients of diverse backgrounds and medical needs.

- Oversee the organization of both clinical and administrative tasks to ensure efficient service delivery.

- Ensure the quality and effectiveness of a designated area within the Clinical Neurophysiology service through regular audits and assessments.

- Facilitate the training and development of Clinical Physiologists (Neurophysiology) and other healthcare professionals, including medical students and nursing staff.

- Conduct detailed interpretation of neurophysiological results and generate comprehensive reports.

- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on a daily basis to meet service requirements and enhance patient care.

Candidate Profile

Qualifications and Training

Essential

  • BSc (Hons) in Clinical Physiology (Neurophysiology) or equivalent specialized training.
  • Relevant qualifications such as BTEC HNC/D in MPPM or equivalent experience, along with professional examination ECNE Part I.
  • In-depth knowledge of specialized procedures gained through advanced training or experience.

Desirable

  • ECNE Part II certification.
  • MSc or equivalent advanced degree.
  • Qualification in Training & Assessing.
  • Registration with RCCP.

Experience

Essential

  • Relevant post-qualification experience in the field.
  • Hands-on experience with a variety of basic and advanced Neurophysiological Investigations.

Desirable

  • Experience in supervisory and management roles.

Skills

Essential

  • Proficiency in conducting a wide range of Neurophysiological investigations.
  • Possession of advanced specialist skills and knowledge in the relevant field.
  • Ability to interpret complex Neurophysiological investigation results and assess patient conditions accurately.

Desirable

  • Managerial competencies.
  • MSc in a relevant specialist area or equivalent.
  • Skills in teaching and training others.
