About the Role

Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited is seeking a highly skilled IT Infrastructure Manager to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for managing the group's IT and communications infrastructure, including relationships with key partners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish user support processes with third-party partners for hardware, software, and systems issues.
  • Ensure the correct operation, updates, and backups of internal and cloud-based systems.
  • Manage user access and security, and oversee the installation and configuration of IT environments.
  • Liaise with third-party suppliers to ensure cost-effective services.
  • Keep up with technological advancements and recommend improvements to internal systems.
  • Manage IT projects, ensuring compliance with IT security policies.
  • Maintain thorough documentation and reporting, and answer audit queries.
  • Manage the IT budget.
Requirements
  • In-person IT user support experience.
  • Excellent understanding of Microsoft Operating Systems and Office applications, including Office 365.
  • Excellent understanding of Microsoft Entra (Azure) and Purview for security and compliance in the MS365 environment.
  • Experience of installing, supporting, and administering Windows Server operating systems.
Desirable Skills
  • Knowledge and experience of Microsoft Power Apps, including Power BI and MS Forms.
  • Experience of creating and managing file sharing and data management sites using SharePoint.
  • 2+ years' experience managing an IT function (ideally in a multi-site SME).
  • Experience of working in a healthcare environment interacting with the NHS.
