About the Role

We are seeking an exceptional Director of English to join our Senior Leadership Team at United Learning. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving improvement in the quality of teaching and learning within the English department, while also contributing to the strategic leadership of the school.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and motivate students, staff, parents, and the wider community to ensure every student achieves well.
  • Develop and implement a curriculum vision that raises standards within the department and contributes to the school's overall academic ethos.
  • Work in partnership with the Principal to bring about continuous improvement of the school, ensuring high standards of academic achievement, teaching and learning, and behavior.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share knowledge and resources, simplify work processes, and manage workloads to achieve excellent results while improving work-life balance.
