  • Relationship Building: Support the Business Development Manager to build and maintain strong relationships with corporate contacts, providing regular updates and reports on the impact of their contributions.
  • Writing Applications: Support the Business Development Manager to submit grant applications to appropriate donors.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including fundraising, marketing, and program staff, to develop tailored proposals and presentations that align with organisational priorities.
  • Tracking and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of corporate engagement activities and prepare reports on fundraising progress, including successes and areas for improvement.
  • Event Support: Assist in the planning and execution of corporate fundraising events and initiatives, ensuring successful outcomes and donor satisfaction.
  • Market Trends: Stay up-to-date with industry trends, corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives, and best practices in corporate fundraising to inform strategies and approaches.

Qualifications:

  • Experience:
  • Proven experience in fundraising, sales, marketing, or a related field, preferably within a non-profit or charity environment.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale events.
  • Skills:
  • Strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and assess potential corporate partners.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience creating compelling presentations and proposals.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite, particularly PowerPoint, and familiarity with design software (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with corporate partners and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Highly organised, with strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • A proactive and results-oriented mindset, with a passion for making a difference through charitable work.
  • Attributes:
  • Passion for the mission of Cerebra and a commitment to supporting children with neurological conditions.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and work under pressure.
  • Flexibility to travel and work evenings/weekends as required.

Additional Information:

This job description outlines the general nature and key responsibilities of the position. It is not an exhaustive list of all duties and responsibilities. Cerebra reserves the right to amend and change responsibilities to meet organisational needs as necessary.
