Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Junior Sous Chef to join our team at Loungers. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for supporting the Head Chef and Sous Chef in delivering exceptional culinary experiences to our customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Head Chef and Sous Chef in preparing and cooking high-quality dishes to meet our customers' expectations.
  • Ensure that all kitchen areas are clean and organized, adhering to strict health and safety standards.
  • Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of our menu and ingredients, including allergens and food safety protocols.
  • Work effectively as part of a team to achieve our kitchen goals and objectives.
  • Contribute to the development of new menu ideas and dishes that align with our company values.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Junior Sous Chef or equivalent role in a similar hospitality environment.
  • Strong knowledge of kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen safety protocols.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Ability to work at pace with limited supervision, while maintaining high standards of quality and attention to detail.
  • Strong knowledge of allergens, kitchen essentials, and food safety practices.
