We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Sous Chef to join our successful kitchen team at a well-known gastro establishment in the Derbyshire area.
About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Sous Chef to take charge of a busy kitchen and lead a team of junior chefs. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food, a flair for creativity, and a commitment to delivering exceptional culinary experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Head Chef in menu planning and preparation
- Oversee kitchen operations, including food safety and hygiene
- Train and develop junior chefs to achieve their full potential
- Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to deliver high-quality dishes
- Contribute to the development of new recipes and menu ideas
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- At least 2 years of experience as a Sous Chef in a similar gastro environment
- Excellent culinary skills and a passion for food
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- A commitment to delivering exceptional customer service
- Able to work effectively in a fast-paced kitchen environment
What We Offer
