Lead Credit Control Specialist

Key Responsibilities for the Lead Credit Control Specialist:

  • Implementing effective credit management and oversight mechanisms.
  • Overseeing the credit control operations across various brands with distinct criteria.
  • Identifying enhancements within the debt recovery process.
  • Recording and allocating customer payments, processing credit card transactions, and issuing manual credits.
  • Administering monthly direct debit collections and managing any direct debit failures.
  • Generating client statements, dispatching reminders, and advancing through the credit control process up to Legal Before Action (LBA).
  • Engaging with clients via telephone, email, and postal communication.
  • Handling credit control inquiries and correspondence.
  • Managing challenging accounts with a proactive approach, achieving settlements, and ensuring compliance with contractual obligations through negotiation processes for dispute resolution.
  • Preparing monthly credit control reports to minimize the risk of bad debt.
  • Providing senior management with monthly updates on the current ledger status.
  • Addressing ad hoc requests related to credit control and accounts receivable.
  • Assuming full responsibility and accountability for all credit control and accounts receivable matters.

Essential Qualifications for the Lead Credit Control Specialist:

  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in comprehensive credit control and accounts receivable processes.
  • Familiarity with legal procedures and regulations.
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive information.
