Kasmir Associates is on the lookout for a seasoned Lead Credit Control Specialist to join our dynamic team. This role is pivotal in overseeing the credit management operations within our organization.
Working Hours:
Monday to Friday, with an early finish on Fridays.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establishing and maintaining effective credit management and oversight protocols.
- Overseeing the credit control operations across various brands, each with unique requirements.
- Identifying and implementing enhancements in the debt recovery process.
- Processing customer payments, including posting and allocation, credit card transactions, and issuing manual credits.
- Managing monthly direct debit collections and addressing any direct debit failures.
- Generating client statements, dispatching reminders, and advancing the credit control process to legal proceedings when necessary.
- Utilizing specialized telecommunications billing software alongside new credit management tools.
- Engaging with clients through various communication channels including phone, email, and postal services.
- Handling credit control inquiries and correspondence effectively.
- Taking a proactive approach to manage challenging accounts, negotiating settlements, and ensuring compliance with contractual obligations.
- Preparing monthly credit control reports to mitigate the risk of bad debts.
- Providing senior management with regular updates on ledger status.
- Addressing ad hoc requests related to credit control and accounts receivable.
- Implementing and overseeing a credit assessment process.
- Assuming full responsibility for all credit control and accounts receivable functions.
Qualifications:
Applicants should possess a minimum of 2 years of comprehensive experience in credit control and accounts receivable management.
Essential Skills:
- In-depth knowledge of legal frameworks related to credit management.
- Commitment to confidentiality and the handling of sensitive information.
- Proficient in IT applications, particularly Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word.
