About the Role

Galliford Try is seeking a highly skilled Commissioning Specialist to join our team. As a Commissioning Specialist, you will play a critical role in the planning, execution, and documentation of commissioning activities on projects and programs of works in a safe and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement commissioning plans in collaboration with clients and project teams.
  • Lead and document commissioning meetings to ensure effective communication and coordination.
  • Coordinate site commissioning activities to ensure project-specific requirements and timelines are met.
  • Ensure commissioning documentation is completed and available on the Common Data Environment.
  • Agree on training plans with clients and ensure effective knowledge transfer.
  • Lead reliability and performance testing stages of projects.
  • Assist project managers in resolving post-completion defects.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in commissioning complex projects within the water industry.
  • Strong financial and commercial awareness.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to generate concise reports and present findings effectively.
  • Ability to work in a multi-discipline team and collaborate with stakeholders.
  • Excellent working knowledge of sewage and water treatment processes.
  • Clear understanding of the structured approach to commissioning.
  • Ability to implement formal safety systems.
Qualifications
  • CSCS or ECS card in an appropriate discipline.
  • EUSR Water Hygiene Card.
  • CITB Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS).
  • First Aid at Work.
  • Confined Spaces Entry (Medium Risk).
