Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated and skilled individual to join our team as a Healthcare Administrative Coordinator. This role is essential in providing comprehensive administrative support to our Community Nursing and In-Patient Unit teams, ensuring seamless operations throughout the week. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in facilitating the admission, discharge, and overall coordination of patient care.

Key Responsibilities
The Healthcare Administrative Coordinator will be responsible for:
- Delivering high-quality secretarial and administrative assistance to the medical and clinical teams within the hospice.
- Managing sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism while interacting compassionately with patients and their families.
- Utilizing computerized patient record systems accurately and efficiently.
- Demonstrating meticulous attention to detail in all tasks.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A minimum of GCSE Level C or equivalent, including English; NVQ Level 3, RSA 3, or equivalent qualifications.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and at least two years of experience in a secretarial role within a healthcare environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals both in person and over the phone.
- Excellent organizational abilities, particularly in emotionally challenging situations.
Work Schedule and Compensation
This is a part-time position, requiring hours per week, with a salary range of £15,907 - £17,059 per annum (pro rata of £26,158 - £28,052 pa).
