About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Automation Design Engineer to join our team at Brother Industries Ltd. As an Automation Design Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and improving our production lines and equipment of the future.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop detailed designs using CAD software.
  • Conduct research and analysis to ensure design feasibility and optimization.
  • Create and maintain detailed documentation of designs, modifications, and project progress.
  • Prepare project costings including BOM's.
  • Perform testing and validation to ensure design performance and reliability.
  • Provide support for modifications / design changes found at Build / Commissioning stages of the project.
  • Support / troubleshoot Existing Equipment both in BIUK and other group companies.
Requirements
  • Education to a degree level or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or a similar subject.
  • Experience in equipment design/development.
  • Strong Knowledge of using 3D CAD.
  • Knowledge of Industrial automation and manufacturing processes.
Desirable Skills
  • Have an interest in system / mechanical assembly design.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
