About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Imaging Assistant to join our Imaging Team at KIMS Hospital. As an Imaging Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the Lead Imaging Nurse in delivering exceptional patient care across various imaging modalities, including Ultrasound, MRI, and CT.
Main Responsibilities
- Provide administrative and clinical support within the Imaging Department.
- Assist and support in Ultrasound, ensuring preparation and aftercare of patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional procedures.
- Assist the Radiologist with Ultrasound-guided Fine Needle Aspirations (FNA's), ensuring equipment setup, sample collection, and management according to local policy.
- Assist the Breast Radiologist in undertaking biopsy and aspiration procedures, ensuring equipment setup, sample collection, and management according to local policy.
- Promote independence and encourage patients to undertake tasks within their capabilities, with assistance.

Person Specification
- NVQ level 2 in health and social care or equivalent.
