We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team at Dalkia UK. As a key member of our commercial team, you will play a crucial role in managing the cost and commercial aspects of our projects.
Main Responsibilities- Cost Planning and Estimation: Prepare detailed cost plans and estimates for projects, utilizing your expertise in quantity surveying and cost management.
- Commercial Management: Lead the commercial management of projects, including the negotiation of contracts, management of variations, and resolution of disputes.
- Contract Administration: Ensure compliance with contract terms and conditions, and manage the administration of contracts, including the preparation of contract documents and the management of subcontractors.
- Cost Reporting and Analysis: Prepare and analyze cost reports, including profit and loss statements, cash flow forecasts, and other financial reports.
- Team Management: Manage a team of quantity surveyors, assistants, and trainees, providing guidance and support to ensure the successful delivery of projects.
- Commercial Knowledge: Have a detailed knowledge of NEC3/4 and JCT contracts, as well as a strong understanding of commercial principles and practices.
- Quantity Surveying Experience: Have at least five years of experience in quantity surveying, with a proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
- Leadership Skills: Possess strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a team of quantity surveyors and other professionals.
- Communication Skills: Have excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex commercial and technical information to stakeholders.
