About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Graduate Research Software Engineer to join our team at the Science and Technology Facilities Council (STFC). As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in the development and maintenance of our energy research data management system.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the development and maintenance of our energy research data management system
  • Collaborate with our team to design and implement new features and functionality
  • Work with our content management team to ensure the accuracy and quality of our data
  • Develop and maintain automated testing and quality assurance processes
  • Ensure the system is accessible and user-friendly for our stakeholders
Requirements
  • Achieved or be on course to achieve a minimum 2:1 degree in a relevant field of study
  • Have the right to live and work in the UK at the time of starting employment
  • Interest or experience in software development, particularly in the energy research sector
  • Good written and verbal communication skills and ability to build positive working relationships with colleagues
  • Effective management of digital objects, either in a personal or educational setting
