About Simply Education Ltd:
Simply Education Ltd is seeking a dedicated SEN Coordinator for a permanent position within a well-regarded Alternative Provision rated 'Good' by Ofsted.
The role involves providing support to young individuals with diverse and complex needs, including autism, moderate to severe learning disabilities, as well as challenges related to speech, language, communication, and behavior.
We are looking for a qualified professional to join our educational team.Key Responsibilities:
Oversee and manage the Special Educational Needs (SEN) provision within the institution, ensuring adherence to legal and educational standards.
- Design and execute Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) tailored for students with SEN.
- Offer training and support to staff regarding best practices and effective strategies for SEN.
- Collaborate with parents, guardians, and external organizations to provide comprehensive support for students with SEN.
- Assess and track the progress of students with SEN, adjusting support plans as necessary.
- Maintain accurate records of SEN students and ensure proper documentation is upheld.
- Advocate for the needs of SEN students within the educational community and foster an inclusive culture.
- Contribute to the formulation and execution of school policies concerning SEN.
PGCE, QTS, or an equivalent teaching qualification
Proven knowledge and experience working with students with SEN
Familiarity with safeguarding principles and child protection protocols
Experience in managing students exhibiting challenging behaviors
