IMH Recruitment is seeking a dedicated SEN Case Management Specialist to support our client in effectively managing a diverse caseload of children with Education Health and Care plans.

Position Summary:

The primary responsibility of this role is to oversee a caseload of children with Education Health and Care plans, ensuring compliance with all statutory obligations.

This position involves handling casework for new requests for statutory assessments, preparing cases for review by the SEN panel, and drafting Education Health and Care Plans with necessary modifications.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage the daily operations related to a significant pupil caseload, coordinating with SEN Officers and Administrative staff as needed, while ensuring all processes adhere to statutory timelines.
  • Make initial assessments regarding the initiation of statutory evaluations and the revision of Education, Health and Care Plans following annual reviews, consulting with SEN Officers as required.
  • Draft Education, Health and Care Plans, making informed decisions about needs and provisions based on input from medical and educational professionals and other relevant agencies.
  • Address parental inquiries and concerns regarding statutory processes, collaborating with SEN Officers as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • BTEC Level 3 award in SEN Casework or equivalent experience in a related field.
  • RSA Stage II Text Processing or demonstrated equivalent proficiency.
  • Child Protection Training.
  • Extensive experience in the SEN sector or significant experience in a related area.
  • Availability for a minimum of 2-3 days in the office, with the ability to commute.
