Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a leader and role model within the clinical setting.
  • Manage the assessment, planning, execution, and evaluation of patient care.
  • Educate and mentor staff in collaboration with the Children's PDN.
  • Exhibit advanced clinical expertise while guiding others.

Qualifications:

Essential Education/Qualifications

  • Registered Sick Children's Nurse (RSCN) or Registered Nurse (Child Branch) qualification.
  • Certification as a Practice Assessor/Practice Supervisor.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in Leadership/Quality Improvement.
  • Professional development in High Dependency Unit (HDU) care.

Skills and Competencies:

  • EPALS certification is preferred.

Experience and Knowledge:

  • Previous experience as a Senior Band 5 Nurse with responsibilities in shift management.
