Job Summary:
We are seeking an exceptional Registered Children's Nurse to join our Paediatric Haemoglobinopathy team as a Clinical Nurse Specialist. The successful candidate will work closely with our Director of Nursing for Child Health, Lead Nurse, and Matrons to further develop our services for haemoglobin disorders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide clinical advice and act as a care coordinator for children and young people affected by Sickle Cell and Thalassemia.
- Develop and implement a progressive attitude towards the continual improvement of patient care through research, development, and innovation.
- Work across the community and hospital setting to improve standards and equity of care while promoting an integrated care pathway.
- Deliver a high level of nursing care and have a holistic approach to children, young people, and their families who have a diagnosis of sickle-cell anaemia and thalassaemia.

We provide care for the residents of three diverse London boroughs, with a staff of over 7,800 permanent employees. Our services include all major specialties of large acute hospitals, operating from two main sites - King George Hospital and Queen's Hospital. We are proud of our regional Neurosciences Centre, Radiotherapy Centre, Hyper Acute Stroke Unit, and dedicated breast care service.
