About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant to join our team at Protocol Education. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with students who have Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, providing individualized support and guidance to help them achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one and group support to students with SEMH needs, following the school curriculum and working closely with the classroom teacher.
  • Develop and implement strategies to support students with SEMH needs, including behavior management and emotional regulation techniques.
  • Collaborate with the teaching team to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment that promotes student engagement and motivation.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure a cohesive and supportive approach to student care.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with students with SEMH needs, preferably in a school setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach to meeting the needs of students and the school.
  • Knowledge of behavior management strategies and emotional regulation techniques, with a commitment to creating a safe and supportive learning environment.
