Division: Trade & Working Capital (T&WC)

The Trade & Working Capital division within J.P. Morgan Payments specializes in connecting clients with leading solutions in Supply Chain Finance, Receivables Finance, Contract Finance, Working Capital Lending, Export Agency Finance, and Traditional Trade. Leveraging our institutional strength and comprehensive technology, we offer global solutions tailored to our clients' needs, utilizing one of the largest networks of Trade Finance investors to support this expanding asset class.

We are seeking a Head of Export Agency Finance (EAF) to oversee this critical area of our business. This role entails global responsibility for product strategy, profit and loss management, and comprehensive product delivery.

EAF operates within the T&WC organization, collaborating with export credit agencies (ECAs), multilateral agencies (MLAs), and development finance institutions (DFIs) to provide our clients with innovative financing structures that include credit-enhanced loans and direct loans. Our partnerships with these agencies, which are established to promote national exports and support economic development, enable us to meet our clients' long-term financing needs effectively.

EAF is responsible for originating, structuring, arranging, and participating in agency-supported debt financing solutions for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and drive product strategy at both regional and industry levels, considering market competition, dynamics, and regulatory impacts.
  • Manage product profitability, including revenues, expenses, and other internal metrics.
  • Lead a senior management team across various time zones to achieve financial and performance objectives.
  • Foster and maintain trusted relationships with functional partners, including Risk, Legal, and Compliance, as well as other divisions within the organization.
  • Act as a subject matter expert for clients and colleagues regarding all aspects of the product.
  • Represent the EAF internally and externally in a senior/executive capacity.
  • Utilize high-level relationships to enhance visibility and utilization of the EAF product suite among clients.
  • Ensure best-in-class client engagement and transaction execution.
  • Maintain effective governance and control structures to mitigate business risks.
  • Promote the firm's culture and conduct standards, including training and supervision, and ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Significant experience in the Export & Agency Finance sector, with strong interpersonal, analytical, and negotiation skills.
  • Proven leadership capabilities, with the ability to motivate and influence teams across global and regional settings.
  • Exceptional communication skills.
  • Extensive experience in transaction management.
  • Strategic thinker with a collaborative approach.
  • Adept at building and leveraging senior-level networks.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Language proficiency is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Strong project management skills and effective communication abilities.
  • Demonstrated executive presence.
