Job Description

About the Role

UK Export Finance is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to fill the position of Head of Active Portfolio Management. This role will be responsible for leading the Active Portfolio Management team and overseeing the day-to-day operational leadership for UK Export Finance's portfolio management activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the Active Portfolio Management team to ensure the effective management of UK Export Finance's portfolio.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of portfolio management strategies and policies.
  • Manage relationships with financial institutions, exporters, and other stakeholders to ensure the successful management of the portfolio.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the international financial architecture and its impact on UK Export Finance's portfolio.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to senior management and other stakeholders on portfolio management matters.
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks to the portfolio and develop strategies to minimize losses.
  • Develop and maintain a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the Active Portfolio Management team.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in portfolio management or a related field.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Deep understanding of the international financial architecture and its impact on portfolio management.
  • Ability to analyze complex data and develop effective strategies to mitigate risk.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively.
