HPC Specialist Job Description

We are seeking an experienced HPC Specialist to join our team at Stanford Black Limited. The successful candidate will play a key role in the build out of a brand-new enterprise GPU cluster hosted on Linux.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience building out distributed, performant Linux infrastructure with competency around storage, containerization, and network optimization. They will also have a deep understanding of performant distributed systems engineering and Python scripting experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement high-performance computing solutions
  • Build and maintain large-scale Linux infrastructure
  • Optimize storage and network performance
  • Develop and implement containerization solutions using Kubernetes
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth project execution

Requirements:

  • 10+ years' experience working in a Linux-based HPC environment
  • Understanding of storage, networking, containerization with Kubernetes, Slurm, or similar
  • Deep understanding of performant distributed systems engineering
  • Python scripting experience
