Position Overview

The Rhodes Trust is seeking a dedicated Research Associate specializing in Prospect Research. This full-time role offers a competitive salary ranging from £37,000 to £41,000 and is designed to support the senior leadership team and the Warden (CEO) by delivering high-quality research services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver comprehensive in-house research support to the Development Team and senior leadership, including the Warden and Trustees.
  • Identify potential major donors and partners for the Rhodes Trust, focusing on alumni, individuals, foundations, and corporations.
  • Conduct proactive research to uncover prospective Rhodes alumni donors using the Trust's CRM database, providing insightful information to guide strategic fundraising efforts.
  • Compile research and prepare briefing materials for the Warden's meetings and international engagements, covering alumni, donors, prospects, partners, and stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate fundraising data, ensuring up-to-date information about prospects is recorded in the CRM system.
  • Exemplify the Trust's values of commitment, inclusion, belonging, growth, and innovation in all activities.
  • Perform additional duties as required, demonstrating a strong commitment to the Rhodes Trust's ethos and mission.

Essential Qualifications and Skills
  • Experience in a prospect research role within a Development or alumni office.
  • Exceptional written communication skills with a strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to utilize initiative and creatively source information to identify opportunities.
  • Strong organizational skills with the capability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Commitment to confidentiality and discretion in handling sensitive information.
  • Proficient in data entry and record maintenance, with experience using CRM systems.
  • Excellent IT skills, particularly with Microsoft Office applications.
  • A genuine interest in the educational sector and the ability to work independently while being an effective team player.
