Tour Coordinator Job Description

Miki Travel Europe is seeking a skilled Tour Coordinator to join our team in the Asia Coordination department. As a key member of our Destinations Management Business Division, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth execution of travel itineraries and delivering exceptional customer experiences.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate with clients, tour leaders, and suppliers in Asia to ensure seamless tour operations.
  • Investigate and resolve issues with tour leaders, providing accurate and timely updates in clear tour reports.
  • Liaise with internal teams, sales offices, and suppliers to address itinerary issues, tour status updates, and on-the-road problems.
  • Respond to customer inquiries and messages through our tour management software.
  • Collaborate with Purchasing, LDC, and Hotel departments to ensure smooth tour operations.
  • Book and amend services, negotiating favorable rates to support business objectives.
  • Meet and greet clients and tour leaders, and accompany key groups when necessary.
  • Ensure rail tickets for tours are delivered to hotels or local offices as required.
  • Negotiate compensation with tour leaders and suppliers to minimize losses and maximize profit margins.
  • Provide support for the Joibus project, including responding to online customer queries.
Requirements:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Mandarin.
  • High levels of organization and accuracy.
  • Able to deliver and perform under pressure.
  • Technical aptitude with an ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to adapt to a diverse and multi-cultural environment.
  • Good negotiating skills.
  • Strong team player.
  • Ability to drive results through others.
Essential Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of European destinations.
  • Fluent in English and Mandarin.
Desirable Skills:
  • Additional knowledge of any other European/Asian languages.
  • Experience in day-to-day operations in the travel business.
