Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Practice Nurse to join our team at Manchester Road Surgery. As a Practice Nurse, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality nursing services to our patients, working closely with our GPs and other healthcare professionals.

Main Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Providing routine nursing services, including immunisations, smear testing, and B12 injections
  • Managing long-term conditions, such as diabetes and COPD
  • Assisting with cytology and urinalysis
  • Working in our travel clinic and assisting with asthma and peak flow readings
  • Requesting pathology tests and maintaining accurate records

Person Specification

We are looking for a candidate with:

  • Experience of working in a primary care setting and dealing with the public
  • Knowledge of long-term condition management and experience of working with patients with diabetes and COPD
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and use own initiative
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Current NMC registration and a recognised qualification to diploma level or above
